APPROACH

'Tectonics' comes from 'Tecton' meaning carpenter in ancient Greek. It refers to both the materiality of construction and to land formation, the plates of the earth.

Our motivation is the improvement of life for the user by the creation of inspiring space. We are interested in light, clarity of form and space and the materiality of construction in the making of architecture.

Tectonics also takes inspiration from the context of each project, most often the city fabric, and the relationship between the buildings and the city spaces: The work is not only about architecture, but also landscape and cityscape. We like to work with other trades and aim at involving a more diverse range of people and expertise in technology, environmental and materials into the making of buildings.
